Description

A simple and delicious roasted sirloin steak recipe, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin steak (well-marbled)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 sprigs fresh rosemary or thyme (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Spray a baking dish with nonstick spray or coat with olive oil.
  3. Pat the sirloin steak dry and rub with olive oil. Season generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Press chopped herbs into both sides of the steak.
  5. Place the steak in the prepared baking dish and roast for 15-20 minutes for medium-rare doneness.
  6. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • For best results, use a meat thermometer to ensure the steak reaches your desired doneness.
  • Let the steak rest to allow juices to redistribute for a more flavorful piece of meat.
