- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 2 tsp orange zest
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Grease an 8-inch square pan with oil or nonstick spray.
- In a medium saucepan, combine granulated sugar and water over medium heat, stirring until dissolved.
- Once dissolved, bring to a gentle boil without stirring.
- Meanwhile, mix cornstarch with 1/2 cup water in another bowl until smooth.
- Gradually whisk the cornstarch mixture into the boiling syrup and stir continuously until thickened (about 5-7 minutes).
- Remove from heat and stir in orange zest and cinnamon powder.
- Pour into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Let cool at room temperature for about 4 hours or until firm.
- Dust with powdered sugar before cutting into squares.
