Description

A delicious creamy casserole made with leftover ham, egg noodles, and cheese.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups leftover ham, (diced)
  • 1 medium onion, (diced)
  • 3 cloves garlic, (minced)
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 32 oz chicken broth (4 cups)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Slap Ya Mama® seasoning
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 15 oz can peas, (drained)
  • 1 cup Pepper Jack cheese, (shredded)
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, (shredded)
  • 1 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. Using a large stock pot or Dutch oven, melt butter and sauté onions for 4-5 minutes over medium heat until onions are translucent.
  2. Add garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  3. Next, add diced ham, chicken broth, heavy cream, seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir.
  4. Stir in pasta, cover and bring to a boil then reduce heat to low/medium and add peas. Stir.
  5. Cover and continue cooking until noodles are tender.
  6. Turn off heat and add cheese and sour cream.
  7. Enjoy!

Notes

  • It’s okay if the pasta is not completely covered with liquid during cooking.
