Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup dried cherries
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla until fully combined.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips and dried cherries evenly.
- Drop tablespoon-sized scoops onto prepared sheets, spacing them two inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until set but soft in the center. Allow to cool before serving.

- Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week.
- These cookies can be frozen for up to three months.
