Description

Delicious soft cookies loaded with chocolate chips and mini marshmallows.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips and mini marshmallows, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  7. Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
  9. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
  10. If desired, dust with powdered sugar before serving to create a snowy effect.

Notes

  • For best results, use room temperature butter.
  • Do not overbake to keep the cookies soft and chewy.
