Description
A delicious and healthy frozen yogurt made with berries and yogurt.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup frozen berries
- 3–4 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 2 cups thick Greek or coconut yogurt, unsweetened (*higher fat is best*)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp cashew or almond butter
Instructions
- In a blender, combine all ingredients and blend until smooth. Taste the mixture — you can add extra sweetener if you’d like!
- Pour into your ninja creami pint & freeze overnight or until ready to eat.
- When ready to make it, leave it out on the counter for 20 minutes. This helps it thaw a bit and makes it easier to blend.
- Blend on “frozen yogurt” for a cycle. Add a splash of milk and re-blend on the same setting. If needed, you can do it once more.
- Add a drizzle of peanut butter and crushed nuts & enjoy!
- Pour the blended mixture into an ice cube tray and freeze.
- When ready to eat, let the cubes sit out at room temp for 20 minutes. Then add the cubes to a high powered blender with a splash of milk (preferably one that has a tamper so you can press it into the blades).
- Blend, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed, until super creamy & thick. Top with toppings & enjoy!
Notes
- Adjust the sweetness to your liking.
- Use different types of nuts for added flavor and texture.
